3D Imaging and Simulation

At the consultation, your face or body is captured in three dimensions and the planned change is reviewed together on screen. In nose surgery, 3D printed models and templates help carry the plan into the operating theatre.

Why does 3D planning matter to you?

See your shape from different angles

A 3D image lets you rotate and examine your face or body. You can discuss proportions and existing differences together rather than relying on a single photograph.

Make your options easier to picture

Discussing phrases such as “a little more lifted” or “fuller” using a shape on screen makes it easier to explain your expectations and see the differences between options.

Examine the plan in your hands

Where appropriate, 3D printing turns the plan on screen into a physical model. The model helps communication and planning; it does not exactly reproduce how tissue feels or heals.

With any surgical or interventional procedure, results may vary from person to person. You are advised to obtain detailed advice from your doctor before the procedure.

Send your questions, and photos if needed, by WhatsApp or phone; a consultation date that suits you is then arranged.

  2. 2

    Consultation and planning

At the in-person consultation your goals are discussed, options are reviewed with 3D imaging and a written plan is prepared.

  3. 3

    Surgery

The operation takes place in a partner hospital, together with an anaesthesia team.

  4. 4

    Recovery

Dressing changes, stitch removal and check-ups are scheduled in advance, and you can send questions throughout your recovery.

  5. 5

    Follow-up

Check-ups continue over the months in which the result settles; patients who live far away can stay in touch by sending photos and messages.
