Cookie Policy
This page explains which cookies and similar technologies www.ilkeryazici.com uses, what they are for and how you can manage your choice. General information on how personal data is processed is in the Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. This website uses cookies and similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage), to remember your cookie choice and, if you consent, to measure how the site is used. No advertising or marketing cookies are used.
Cookies used on this website
The entry that remembers your cookie choice and the admin panel session cookie are needed for the website to work the way you request. They are used without your consent, on the basis of legitimate interest under Article 5(2)(f) of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK). Google Analytics cookies are used only if you choose Accept in the cookie banner, on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 5(1)).
- consent — Not a cookie; kept in your browser's local storage. Purpose: records your choice in the cookie banner so that the banner is not shown on every page. Duration: until you clear your browser data or change your choice. Type: strictly necessary (consent management), first party.
- _ga — Purpose: distinguishes visitors so that Google Analytics 4 can measure visit statistics. Duration: 2 years. Type: analytics, only with your consent. It is set on this website's domain but belongs to the Google Analytics service, and the measurement data is sent to Google.
- _ga_Q20XN9ZKWZ — Purpose: keeps the session state in Google Analytics 4. Duration: 2 years. Type: analytics, only with your consent; belongs to the Google Analytics service.
- sb-…-auth-token — Purpose: authenticates site editors who sign in to the admin panel (Supabase). It is never set in visitors' browsers. Duration: until the editor signs out, at most 400 days. Type: strictly necessary, first party.
Cookieless measurement
The website also uses Vercel Web Analytics. This service uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It tells visits apart with a value derived from the request itself, which is discarded after 24 hours, and produces aggregated statistics, such as page view counts, that do not identify you. This measurement relies on the legitimate interest in monitoring how the website works (Art. 5(2)(f) KVKK). Information on how Vercel and Google data is processed outside Türkiye is in the Privacy Policy.
YouTube videos
The home page and some procedure pages show YouTube videos. Their thumbnails are served from the website's own server. Unless you press play, the YouTube player is not loaded, no data is sent to YouTube or Google and no YouTube cookie is set. When you press play, the video opens in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); your IP address and browser information are then passed to YouTube, and YouTube may store data in your browser during playback. YouTube's own privacy policy also applies to this.
The cookie banner and your consent
On your first visit, a cookie banner opens in a bottom corner of the page. It shows Reject and Accept side by side and does not block access to the website's content.
Until you choose Accept, the Google Analytics script is not loaded and no data is sent to Google Analytics. When you choose Accept, Google Analytics is loaded and analytics cookies are set; advertising storage and ad personalisation are set to off. If you choose Reject, or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and only the strictly necessary entries listed above are used.
Changing your choice
You can change your choice at any time. Click Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to reopen the cookie banner and save a new choice. Once you withdraw consent, Google Analytics sets no new cookies and is not loaded when you open the page again. You can delete Google Analytics cookies that were set earlier in your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before it.
Blocking cookies in your browser
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. In common browsers such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, these settings are usually found under "Privacy" or "Privacy and security":
- Open the privacy section of your browser's settings.
- Under cookies and site data, delete or block all cookies or only those of particular websites.
- On mobile devices, these settings are in the browser app's own settings or in the device settings.
- In a private or incognito window, cookies are deleted when you close the window.
- To stop Google Analytics measurement on all websites, you can use the opt-out browser add-on provided by Google.
Effects of blocking
If you block cookies or site data, your cookie choice may not be remembered and the cookie banner may reappear on each visit. Refusing analytics cookies does not affect how the website works.
